Kangaroos

Kangaroos ( 2-3 years old); Children are starting to master abilities like running, talking, and playing with friends at this age, which is wonderful. Additionally, they have a high awareness for the world around them and are always learning new skills and observing new things. Children will rapidly grow their vocabulary throughout this period, as well as their interests.

Our play-based learning programme includes carefully planned, well-resourced activities that are guided by the children’s interests and developmental stages. In the previous, some of our interests and projects have focused on things like the roles people play in our community, dinosaurs, marine life, and international holidays.
Play dough, sand play, obstacle courses, messy arts and crafts, outdoor games, unstructured free play, painting, cooking, singing, building with blocks and construction toys, sharing rhymes and songs—the list of daily activities is endless.

The five learning outcomes are:

Preschool Room

In the Preschool room we focus on developing the skills that children need to become lifelong learners.
Our preschool room offers, acknowledge the importance of well-resourced, carefully designed learning settings for children’s growth and learning. Children are thought of as capable and strong teachers and learners who can learn from one another.
Stringybark Early leaning centre educators are highly trained to educate and nurture the children in the preschool room especially those who are transitioning to big school the following year. The program allows children to explore and problem solve as they become critical thinkers. The children in this age group love to engage in conversations and our educators take the time to encourage them to express themselves. Our preschooler drives our program with their interests, input and decision making.
Children congregate in the morning to tell tales, sing songs, and welcome one another to the area. Additionally, we share ideas and offer new learning concepts here. We encourage pre schooler to play freely in a setting that feels like home.
Children are allowed to travel freely and at their own pace between different areas of interest. Each of these settings has a clear objective in mind, one that relates to the child’s interests as well as the deliberate teaching and learning that the educators are emphasising.
Regular updates and modifications to the resources and tools in the environments are made in order to enhance learning and challenge children. Both children and teachers can benefit from one another’s knowledge.

Our indoor and outdoor environments offer play-based learning opportunities before children transition to our daily group learning. Projects and inquiry-based learning with topics related to regional and global challenges in the world they live in are scheduled for this period. Through play that is scaffolded, hospitable and stimulating environments, and unscheduled and intentional learning opportunities, we reinforce this.
Through their interactions, educators create a language-rich environment with students, which is essential for grasping higher order thinking ideas like arithmetic, language, and the sciences.
Our Early Childhood Teachers encourage a love of learning in the kids and help them develop their skills in preparation for the transition to school. Your child will be exposed to ideas and abilities required for success in order to get ready for the first year of formal education.
