After many years of teaching, I firmly believe the environment we build for our children is just as important as the moments we spend engaging with them as individuals. Current research shows the earliest years of a child’s development are vital in forming their understanding of the world.
Therefore I believe it is our job as educators to guide our youngest community members through their first years, to work collaboratively and explore interests to build on their understanding of the world around us.

I have a Bachelor of Education specialising in birth to 12 years. I have been working in this filed since 1993 and at Stringybark Learning Centre since 2009 .The educators at Stringybark learning centre are some of the most caring people I have met, they have a real passion for the industry and truly understand the value of providing an environment that promotes children to develop, grow and excel in life.
Since our community is so tight and welcoming to everyone, Stringybark stands apart from other businesses because we offer a home away from home. Our service family can facilitate the easiest transition possible from home to the child care centre.

Our program’s goal is to provide children with challenging experiences in lovely surroundings. We respect children’s rights to be able to learn in a welcoming and encouraging situation. By interacting with children on their level and at their pace, we challenge children intellectually, socially, and physically. When something goes wrong, we assist them in finding answers and promote their desire to learn.
